Session
B
Well... We are finished for the day and
we are pooped. We had cabin afternoon after general swim. Illinois went
to the big ballfield to throw a boom-a-rang, Cheyenne had free swim,
Flatheads had an intense game of ping pong in the rec hall and Zuni
went around camp taking pictures (see below shot with Oliver the Llama).
Tomorrow the gates will open at 9:30 to pick up and we will start activities
at around 10. If you would like lunch, we are having a cookout at 11:30.
Thank you for letting us have fun with your child and we will see you
tomorrow!
Friday:
We have packed up almost all of the campers so that they will be ready
to head out tomorrow. Some are asking, "Where did the week go?",
"Is it time to go already?". I think that we all had a bunch
of fun. Camper are having a cabin afternoon at 4:00. Here are some pictures
from the activities today and the
Talent Show last night.
Thursday:
The Circus came to town! We had a full day of activities and then went
right into a Circus Lunch. We had someone selling popcorn, the lady
who rides the horses, a tall and strong man and plently of clowns- enough
to fill a car! Everyone is doing well and we hate to see these campers
leave us in a few days!
Wednesday:
It is HOT HOT HOT! We are making sure that all of our campers are drinking
water during the activites. Campers went to weights with Clarice, canoe
with Jason and riferly with Diana. Ronnie, our chef, made BBQ chicken
with rice and gravy for lunch. There was also peanut butter and jelly,
potato salad, salad with dressing and cottage cheese. Boys are getting
ready for their campouts tonight and our ladies are "revved"
about The Great Escape after they saw what the prizes the boys won!
We will keep you posted!
Here are some pictures from the campouts and the girls Great Escape.
Enjoy!!

Tuesday:
We had a super first day with your campers! They are excited and ready
to try anything just once. Some tried archery with Abby, other sat at
the picnic table and practiced friendship bracelets with Kala. Others
went swimming with Fran and Liz and a few joined the percussion class
with Leppi and Steve. The girls all packed a bag, matches and marshmellows
for a campout under the stars. The younger cabins marched into camp
around 9 with flashlights liting the way. The older cabins braved the
dark with smeared ashed faces and danced around their fire with pride.
Their was an exciting game of The Great Escape where the campers, in
table groups, ran around camp to collect signatures while avoiding the
dreaded "Stingers." After they worked up a sweat, the men
jumped into the lake for a twilight swim. What better way to cool off
after a long hot day. Check in with us tomorrow!

Monday:
Today started off well with the campers smiling and counselors greeting
them on their porches. We get everyone in and settled quickly without
any problems! It did rain for a while during the activity sign up but
we continued to move on with our program. All campers enjoyed a supper
cookout inside the dining hall and then went up to the lodge to watch
the Welcome Program. Angela just called "Call to Quarters"
for everyone. Tonight they will munch on a surprise, milk and cookies,
before going to bed. See you tomorrow!
