Trips

2 week sessions:
All campers attending sessions A, CD, and C, and CD1 get a trip out of camp.We believe emphasis should be given to experiences a camper cannot easily find at home. The trips are based on the number of years that campers return to Chatuga.

1st-year: Campers go on a local field trip including Stumphouse Tunnel and go innertubing on the famous Chattooga River.
2nd-year: Campers visit Tallulah Gorge in Georgia, swim in the Chattooga River, and eat & play at Sweet Treats.
3rd-year: A new trip to Ghost Town in Maggie Valley NC., eat away from camp.
4th-year: Campers raft the Nantahala River in Bryson City, NC., eat away from camp.
5th-year: Campers go rappelling in nearby Highlands, NC. and eat away from camp.
6th-year: Campers raft on Section 4 of the Chattooga River here in Mountain Rest with the NOC.

**Campers may go on their trip or any trip ranked below theirs.
